Eric Hall – 29

Lives in Jackman, ME and has ridden snowmobiles all his life.  Eric has worked as an Allagash Park Ranger and put in four winters in the Allagash Lake region riding thousands of off trail miles on state sleds.  He is a very experienced off trail rider and puts thousands of miles a year all over northwest Maine.  Eric has great navigation and woodsman skills that are very important for this race.

Tim Lessard – 38

Owner of Grip N Rip Racing Products located in Monmouth, ME.  I am originally from Jackman, ME and have ridden snowmobiles since I was 10.  I’m a mechanical engineer and have worked in the engine department for Arctic Cat in Minnesota.  I’m also a private pilot and am experienced with navigation and GPS.  I’ve raced snowmobiles for years in drags, Rock Maple Snowcross, and 200 mile endurances lake races. 

We are officially in the race and have been given #31 for our team number!!!  We’ve been holding off on the sled and race preparation until we had confirmation that we were in.  The race is limited to 35 teams and we were told the teams that previously raced in Cain’s Quest would be given priority and new teams would have to wait to get in.  Not sure if that has changed but Cain’s Quest let us know today that we were in so now we will be concentrating on preparing for the race. 

Keep checking our blog to see how we are coming along with the sled prep and also watch for us in Snowtech magazine as they are doing a sled build article on our Cain’s Quest race sled.  In the article we will be highlighting all the aftermarket parts used for the race.  Snowtech is also planning on doing a follow up article in a later issue on our team and the race itself.

Just picked up my Etec from Jackman Powersports. Started taking it apart to check it out. It ended up coming with electric start and no pull cord.  Have the sled stripped down checking everything out.  Installing our A-Arm brace kits and also a Racewerx clutch brace.  Will have pics up soon.
